Offers

The Offers page lets you track and compare your job offers privately in one
place. Record the details of each offer as it arrives so you can review them
side by side and prepare for negotiation. Your offer data is private and never
shared.

Adding an offer

Click the Add Offer button to open the Record an Offer form:

  • Company (required) and Role (required).
  • Currency — USD, INR, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, or SGD.
  • Compensation — base salary, variable/bonus, equity type (stock options,
RSU, phantom, or none), equity value, and vesting schedule.
  • Terms — benefits (comma-separated), location, remote policy (onsite,
hybrid, remote), offer date, and expiry date.
  • Notes — anything you want to remember about this offer.

Click Record Offer to save it. The button stays disabled until company and
role are filled in.

Your offer list

Each offer appears as a card showing:

  • Role title and company name.
  • Base salary — shown in the currency you recorded, for example
    "USD 150,000".
  • Equity — a badge showing the equity type and value, for example
    "RSU: 100,000".
  • Expiry date — "Expires {date}" marks decision deadlines.
  • Status badge — active or archived.
  • A version number (for example "v1") on each offer record.

Click an offer card or its View button to open the offer detail page.

The offer detail page

The detail page shows the offer's Compensation (base salary, variable
bonus, equity, and total cash) and Details, plus:

  • Negotiation Prep — Generate Negotiation Prep builds a list of
questions to ask, grounded in your offer; results are clearly flagged when
    they can't be generated.
  • Version History — every change to the offer creates a new version, and
    history is preserved.
  • Edit Offer, Archive Offer, and Compare Offers actions.

The Danger Zone at the bottom holds the one irreversible action:
Purge permanently — "Permanently erase this offer and its version history.
This is irreversible, audited, and intended for privacy erasure requests."
This is different from Delete below, and is never the everyday action.

Editing an offer

Edit Offer opens the form with a note: "Changes create a new version;
history is preserved." Save your changes and the updated offer appears as the
latest version — earlier versions stay available in the history.

Managing offers

From the list, each card lets you:

  • Archive — set an active offer aside (its status becomes archived).
  • Restore — bring an archived offer back to your active list.
  • Delete — remove the offer from your list.

Comparing offers

Once you have two or more offers, a Compare Offers button appears.
Open it to weigh compensation and terms side by side before deciding:

  1. Select at least two offers to compare — checkboxes track your
    selection ("{n} selected (need 2+)").
  2. Optionally weight non-financial factors with sliders — Company, Role
title, Location, Remote flexibility, and Equity type (0–1).
  3. Click Compare to see the comparison table — company, role, currency,
location, remote policy, base salary, variable comp, equity value, a
Weighted score (heuristic), and Total comp (est.).

Two honest caveats are built in: comparison uses dated currency rates,
and assumptions are disclosed on every result — "This comparison is private
to you." Export / Print first shows a Private data warning that you
confirm before printing.

Empty state

When you have no offers recorded yet, the page shows "No offers yet" and
invites you to record your job offers to compare and prepare for negotiation.
