Profile — Your Candidate Identity
The Profile page is your candidate identity in Your intelligent career operating system. It captures who you are professionally — your skills, experience, education, and preferences — and is used to tailor recommendations and preparation to you. If you haven't created a profile yet, the page opens straight into the creation form.
Creating or editing your profile
- First time: the page opens in edit mode with a welcome card — "Welcome! Let's set up your profile." It explains that your profile helps tailor recommendations and preparation, and that fields marked with
*are required. - Returning: use the Edit button to make changes, then Save Changes to keep them or Cancel to discard.
If loading or saving fails, the page shows an error with a Retry button.
What you fill in
Identity — basic information about you:
- Display Name (required)
- Professional Title
- Phone, with a country code picker covering India, the US and Canada, the UK, Australia, the UAE, Singapore, Germany, France, Japan, China, and many more countries
- Location
- LinkedIn URL
- Portfolio URL
Work Preferences:
- Target Roles — tag-style entries, e.g. "Product Manager"
- Preferred Locations — e.g. "Bangalore, Remote"
- Min and Max Salary, in LPA
- Work Authorization — choose any of: Indian Citizen, US Citizen, EU Citizen, H1-B Visa, Green Card, Work Permit, Student Visa, Open to Relocation, Remote Only
- Employment Types — Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Freelance, Internship
Skills & Education:
- Skills — tag-style entries, e.g. "Python, React, SQL"
- Highest Education
- Education Summary
Experience:
- Total Experience (Years)
- Experience Summary
For tag fields, type a value and press Enter (or click the plus button) to add it, and click the small x on any tag to remove it.
Master resume
The Master Resume card on your profile is a pointer: your master resume is created and edited in Resume OS, not on the profile page. Open the card's Resume OS → link to see your master resume, review an imported one, and build targeted resumes for each job. Inline profile uploads are retired — uploads now live in Resume OS.
Viewing your profile
Once saved, the profile page shows:
- A profile completeness percentage bar, so you know what's left to fill in.
- A one-line summary derived from your details — professional title, years of experience, top skills, education, target roles, and location (or "Complete your profile to see a summary." if it's still empty).
- Your identity details: location, phone, LinkedIn, portfolio, experience, and education.
- Badge lists for Skills, Target Roles, Preferred Locations, Work Authorization, and Employment Types.
- Your Experience Summary and Education Summary paragraphs.
After you create it
When you create your profile for the first time, you're returned to wherever you were headed — for example, the Billing page if you were upgrading — or to the Dashboard. Related reading: Resume OS is where your master resume and targeted resumes live.
